Dan Berry was born in 1981 and grew up partially in North Wales and then the rest of the way in Shropshire. As a young boy, he remembers getting into trouble at school for drawing a picture of a shrugging Count Duckula saying “I don’t know” instead of completing his maths test. Nowadays he avoids doing maths by teaching comics at university for a living, which is basically the same thing. When he isn’t lecturing at the North Wales School of Art & Design at Glyndwr University, Dan is drawing, experimenting with inks and restoring fountain pens. When he isn’t doing that he is interviewing a different artist every week for a podcast called Make It Then Tell Everybody in which he talks to them what they do and how they do it. His most recent book, Nicholas and Edith, was a 24 Hour Comic, completed at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival in October 2014.
Dan lives with his wife and two children in Shropshire.
