Randall Caesar (b. 1967) strives to live the way people say he draws cartoons: creative, flamboyant, playful, poetic, witty, deceptively simple, in search of magic and full of compassion.

His illustrations have appeared in various publications including the Flemish weekly Humo and the Flemish newspaper De Standaard. Randall has also won several prestigious prizes for his work as coach and director of leading Flemish comedians.

Sleepyheads is a translation of the book Slaapkoppen originally published by the excellent Oogachtend in Belgium. It won the award as best Debut Graphic Novel from Strip Turnhout Belgium  in 2007 and the debut price from VPRO in the Netherlands in 2008.
