Kenny Penman Interviewed by Broken Frontier

TAGS: None

Andy Oliver of Broken Frontier is currently posting a rare multi-part interview with our very own Kenny Penman. For those who aren’t familiar with Kenny, in addition to setting up Blank Slate in 2008, he has literally two decades worth of experience in comics under his belt as a retailler through his role as co-owner of Forbidden Planet International. He’s also got a comics collection to rival even Wimbledon Green’s. Read the interview here.

Since 2008 Blank Slate Books have been a byword for diversity in the comics medium. From Oliver East’s Trains are… Mint series to the adult humour of Nigel Auchterlounie’s Spleenal through to the insights into mental health issues in Darryl Cunningham’s Psychiatric Tales, they have given UK creators a platform for a unique range of storytelling styles and subject matter.

For further proof of Kenny’s excellence, check out this one-of-a-kind HARVEYJAMES-themed mug he gifted me yesterday:

A Long Day of Mr James Teacher
It makes coffee twice as delicious.
